Kay: Where are good places to apply for a holiday seasonal job? What companies always hire around the holidays?
I am having a hard time finding a job, and since it is going to October soon I figured a lot of companies will at least be hiring for holiday seasonal positions. Does anyone have any suggestions of companies that always hire around the holidays?

The malls. Any big department store is hiring NOW for Christmas season. You can get full time, you can get part time, AND you get their store discount. If you’re just looking for seasonal, opt out of the insurance because it’s a huge chunk of your paycheck. You can also file exempt to get all of your paycheck — they still take out for SS tax — but it’s totally legal, and if you’ve been paying taxes throughout the year, you should still get a refund.

Gift shops, cards, jewellers etc always hire more over Christmas. Many bars and restaurants also need extra staff, particularly in bigger cities and towns
From when I was at college and getting Christmas work i remember the following always had positions:

Debenhams

in a lot of malls around me halloween stores are opening up try one of those.. plus you get to wear cool costumes allday!!

Mostly shops where people go a lot would like to hire more people to manage their shop well.
So, you can try there.
