: When buying a laptop, do we have to trade between performance and portability forever?
When do we have the technology that can make a laptop run faster without emitting too much heat? Right now, if you want the fastest laptop in the world that can play games at smooth frame rate, you have to live with a bulky laptop. When will be the time that the only thing that we have to trade with when getting a fast laptop is the price?
The ENIAC is not a laptop.

IF YOU think ANY laptop is bulky, you are way to young to remember when a computer with less than 1/10 the power of almost ANY current system, operated at 10 MEGA hertz, had a BIG 10 MEGABYTE HD storage, and 24 KILOBYTE memory, took up an entire room, had NO “resident” applications, (EACH had to be specifically loaded, and it only ran one at a time,) AND required a 10 TON air conditioner to keep it cool.
This modern generation has it way to easy!!
Oh, they ALSO COST several HUNDRED THOUSAND dollars, and there was NO Internet!
