Having sex just means doing it to do it, not because of love, trust, or care. Making love is when it is passionate and meaningful. You will know the difference.

But other than the emotional aspect there is no difference

Answer by Josephine
The intimacy. The meaning behind it, I suppose. Rather, if, it has meaning behind it.
But there’s not a difference, really.

Answer by Forlorn Hope
no difference… though one tends to be long and slow and the other is hard and fast!!!

Answer by Dani B.
Most people say they’re the same thing.

Personally, I’ve always thought that making love would be more passionate and with someone you really care about while ‘sex’ is just having intercourse with someone. I could be wrong.

Answer by Care-Bear♥
Making Love —> U both love each other and want to be together

Sex –> BOOM BOOM POW and its totally meaningless.

Answer by Will
“making love” is completely different from “having sex”

now you’re asking why?

making love is something that is shared by both people and its something that can be felt… of course theres pleasure involved but theres something more to it that makes the sex so much better

if i had one word to associate “having sex” with it’d be lust

Answer by That guy
Love making is supposed to be romantic and special

Having sex aka fucking… is all about just getting the orgasm and then going on with the rest of your day.

Answer by davester1970
Physically they are really same thing. The difference is that married people call it making love. Single people just have sex.

Answer by greenonion08
making love involves love and having sex does not.

Answer by drDiy
Making love involves foreplay and hopefully quite a bit of it. Lovemaking should start before clothes are actually off. Hugs and kisses will ignite the passion and from there a warm sharing sensation will build. Maybe a small glass of wine with small (hot) talk and then off to the room. There a more deeply felt gut tickling anxiety of sorts will start filling both (lovers). Looking into each other’s eyes, they will remove oneanothers clothes slowly. Wetness and hardness will ensue.
Now the lying should begin. Making love isn’t an acrobatic behavior. In general the couple should remain in a somewhat normal or relaxed position while the introduction inside takes place.
Slow, long and deep motion will certainly light the fire and by not going into a (jackhammer) of motion will keep the ‘ love making ‘ on the level. Maybe when orgasm is nearing, a faster pace of long and deep will turn on the nuke juices.
Once the couple has experienced a loving explosion of juices, petting and light kissing should follow. There should be no hurry to run to the bathroom or do anything else except love each other. Having spent a decent amount of time, a shower may be in order.
Take it together and wash eachother all over. After drying off, slip into a warm dry bed and intertwine with little whispers and fall asleep.
Does this really work? Yes!
That in a simple way is Making Love.
