It is possible to have sex without intercourse.
Intercourse suggests a specific act. To my knowledge it means, insertion.
But sex, can be a variety of different things, including or not including intercourse. I won’t get too descriptive here but I think you know what I mean.
Just remember that unless you are careful a baby can come from intercourse. But not all sex acts constitute that risk. be careful out there always, wear your rain coats.
And be true to yourself!
Intercourse is the full on act, penetration vaginally and all that. Sex includes other acts, (but not normally unless stated) Oral Sex, Anal Sex and such. But for most cases they are both the same, sometimes written as sexual intercourse.Answer by Crystal H

Answer by captain_harlock_99Sex is participating in ANY sexual activity; Be it manual stimulation, oral stimulation, anal, or intercourse.
Intercourse is just one form of a sexual act.
Sex and intercourse have been confused to mean the same thing for two main (and severly outdated) reasons.
1) Intercourse is the only kind of sex had by some people who find other sexual acts indecient and/or immoral.
2) Boys have long falsey implied that if they didn’t have intercourse, that they did not have sex, in order to get girls to go ‘all the way’.
Intercourse can be sex, If it is the lone act. Sex can be had in a variety of ways that do not need to include intercourse.Sexual activity is sexual activity. Intercourse is but one piece to the puzzle.
I hope this clears things up for you.
Cheers 🙂
