: What’s the difference between IMAX cinema screens and normal cinema screens?
There are plans to build an IMAX cinema in my area and I’m wondering why are IMAX cinemas so special anyway?

the screen is way bigger and in HD, with a super good sound system

About 10 stories or so. OK can’t remember the exact height of a REAL IMAX, but most don’t build actual IMAX screens anymore. They use the generic form that they call IMAX(which is a rip-off since IMAX isn’t just a “name”).
