I have a myspace account but whats the deal with face book? can you only see your “Friends” profiles? Can you do anything cooler than with myspace?

People on Facebook tend to be more intelligent, you don’t get as many “fakes” trying to be friends, and there’s less garbage on FB.

ok so facebook is much much safer then myspace =)

1) Facebook has more users than MySpace has.
2) Facebook provides much more secured access, and the Prvacy is better than MySpace.
3) MySpace is customizable with boxes, backgrounds and videos, and you can add music to your page that plays automatically, whilst Facebook doesn’t have those, and everyone has to use the Blue and White simple Background.
4) People who like simplicity will find Facebook more ideal, whilst MySpace is for people who prefer more and more customization.
5) You can have your own MySpace video channel, but that’s not possible in Facebook.
6) Overall, Facebook is better for college students, and MySpace for ….. um more of like older people i guess !
7) Facebook is safe for everybody, but MySpace isnt

Myspace was kind of designed to meet people and hook up with them, and it has started to get a bit of a trashy reputation.

Facebook is cool because it’s cleaner, more functional and designed for networking. It’s an opportunity for you to find friends from different stages in your life and connect with them again, or meet knew people who share similar interests. You could use it as a dating tool, but it’s really not set up for that and it would be a little weird.

Interestingly enough, the “finding old friends” part of Facebook is more actively used by people over the age of 40, however the social part of it is really consumed by the “under 40” group.

Depending on a network you join (City,State or School, etc) some people allow their profiles to be seen by anyone. It just depends on the privacy setting, which is definitely a nicer feature than Myspace. Facebook is far more secure and you have lots of control over exactly who gets to see what. At least check it out. It’s free.

Facebook is for people who think they are smart or want to be smart but really aren’t.

Myspace is for people who think they are creative by putting graphics and music on their pages made by other people to express their own uniqueness that isn’t really there.

But I think myspace is a little better for younger people, because you get to customise your page with sites like profilebrand.com they also have layouts for places like IMVU and gaia online.

Facebook is good for older people who like their pages to look like everyone else
