Jen Lori Ann: What car dealer do with car if broke down during test driving?
Let say dealer buy this car cheap from auction, car works great at first. So let say maybe after several people took car for test drive, the car broke down.
Now, what car dealer gonna do with this car? Sell it back to auction and take a loss? Or fix them up then put car back to lot to sell it like it was before broke down?
I was trying to figure out if car dealer are willing to takes thousand dollars loss by send car back to auction? Or fix it then sell it, but less profit because money spent for repairs already?

I have been in the car business now for over 12-years and it would depend on the cost of the repairs.
If the service department and the used car manager can agree on a price and it’s less then the expected loss the dealer would take at the auction they will fix it. If the cost is more then the expected loss they will run it back to the auction.
It’s really just simple math.

Yet another hypothetical question from you. Do you work? Are you gainfully employed, sir?
Your revolution is over, Mr. Lebowski. Condolences! The bums lost! My advice is to do what your parents did… get a job, sir. The bums will always lose. Do you hear me, Lebowski?!?!
