John J: What type of baseball workouts are good?
I am going to be a junior this year. Right now i am 5’7 5’8ish and weight 160 pounds. Are there any workouts i should be doing to get ready for the season in the spring? I am planning on going on to play college baseball as well for a junior college team and i am just looking for some things that could help me out. I dont have the money to go buy fancy equipment or anything.

a great way to practice is to swing a bat in a swimming pool!! chaep and very strengthening
A few things i do are… u need 2 people
Take 100 ground Balls a day
Take 100 soft toss
take 50 live bp
Hit some beans(NOT COOKED)
Sort toss-long toss
run
work on fielding

Answer by Desert MonkeyMost players forget that baseball is an athletic and strength sport these days. If you are fundamentally a good player, Start getting into shape NOW!.. RUN! RUN! and then run some more. Weight training for power you will also find to be important as well.
