Milan C: What To Do When Invited For Easter Celebration?
Hi,
This Sunday (4th April 2010), A very respected Gentleman and his highly regarded Family invites me to celebrate Easter Sunday with them. They are Christian I am not and I have no clue as to how and what to do on Easter. Please suggest on what should be doing? Like what gift, what attire, and any holy things?
Thanks in Anticipation.

dress sorta nice, khakis and a polo or something like that. not a suit or anything though. you don’t DO anything special.. maybe roll easter eggs? its just a holiday that you spend with friends. unless they are deeply religious, you don’t have anything to worry about. if they are, i’m sure they will filly ou in on what is going on.
If the invitation did not specify how to dress, then I suggest semiformal, slacks, button up shirt and a tie. Easter colors are spring colors, like green, blue, yellow, and pink, so put together a shirt/tie combo that looks good on you and incorporate these colors if you can.
Bringing flowers is always a great idea, wine is good if you know they drink but flowers are safer. Chocolates are good also.
You do not need to bring any holy items as you are the guest and they will have everything they need. Also since it’s not your religion you do not have to participate in any holy rituals unless you want to. If you decide not to, simply remain quiet while they pray or say grace before the meal. It will only take a minute.
Enjoy yourself, it must be interesting to experience another culture this way.
Answer by PaulaWill you be attending Church with them?
If so you will need a pretty spring dress to wear.
You will not need to bring a gift.
You may want to bring a bible, if you have one to church.
If not it’s not required.
They will give out a program at the door of the church that tells you
what to expect.
They may give an invitation for you to accept Christ in your heart at the
end of the service.
You may do this if you feel prompted in your heart.
If not, then you don’t do anything.
Enjoy the day and have a great dinner afterward.
