My fiancee had a great romantic weekend. We live about 3 hours apart and I was thinking of surprising her at her work with flowers. Is this too over the top? What sort of flowers should I send her?

well, it’s spring time and a favorite of most of the girls’ ive dated were some form of lillies. Of course, if you know her favorite flower you can never go wrong with that!!!

You seem wonderful. Send her flowers..just not 3 dozens. 🙂 Tell her in code that you enjoyed this past weekend. I say send her a spring bouquet of assorted lillies or star gazers or tulips – just not roses. If you can’t decide ask the florist, they should know the perfect bouqet to send to her.

Not over the top. Call a florist in the town where she is. You can find listing online. This is much better than ordering online. Just find the phone number to the florist, then call them.

If you don’t know what to send, they will have good advice. Just tell them the price range, usually $ 40 to $ 60, maybe even less if you’re low on funds. If you want to really go for it, and since she is your fiance, send roses, but expect to pay a lot. A regular bouquet is just as nice for most women, since she will be so happy you even thought to do it.

When you ask the florist for advice, they usually can put together a better arrangement than if you specify the kind of flowers, because they will use what they have the most of and what is most fresh.

Girls love flowers, especially at work. Do it!

Surprise her with a delivery instead that would be not over the top. Some employers don’t like surprise visits. I own a hair salon and it would be OK if you did that at my salon, but I am more accepting of those things. Trust me as a woman that women love to get flowers at work to show off to the other women what a great guy they have. Every place I have worked since I was old enough to work women all flock around to ooh and aah over flowers delivered. It all starts with the delivery person bringing them and soon it is broadcast all over, WHO GOT THE FLOWERS? And ladies will buzz all over the place like bees. Women will be checking to see if it was for them and secretly be a wee bit disappointed if they are not for them. Don’t go with lillies because they are funeral flowers and roses are too much for a budding relationship and die quicker. Go for a Spring mix with carnations because they last longer and smell better. Make that call to FTD!

Ask one of her friends or family member what her favorite flower is. My last girlfriend’s were white Roses, but could be many types.
