diddyspitcrew: What song should me and my friend sing for Black History Month assembly?
Me and my friend want to sing for the black history month assembly at my school or during lunch on the stage. We want to audition together, but we don’t have a song. It has to be an old reggae or like, an old song by a black artist, or a newer song by a black artist.
any suggestions are helpful. (:
I don’t want a sad song.
like, something that will be fun to sing!

Here are some old school gospel songs I think might work:
Down by the Riverside
God Bless the Child
He’s Got the Whole World In His Hands
Kumbayah, My Lord
I’ve Got Peace Like a River
Rocka My Soul
This Little Light of Mine
Wade in the Water
We Shall Overcome
Or if you want something more contemporary, try a Kirk Franklin song.
Hope this helps!
