ShamWow: What should my 10yr old sister do in my wedding?
I’m getting married March 21. I have two sisters 12 and 10. Well the 12yr old wants to be a bridesmaid. But, I don’t know what my youngest sister should do. She’s too old to be the flower girl. I’m having a small wedding of 100 guests so my bridal party will be small. I really want to include her because I’m very close to my sisters. Please help me.

she can still be a bridesmaid..it will make her feel very good!
when i was around that age at every wedding i was in i was a server, i thought it was the most cool thing in the world, i went around and cleaned up peoples plates and such…me and all mu cousins did it and we loved it–of course we used our imaginations and acted like we were cinderella or something (in our pretty little dresses) do something like that.. i am sure as long as she is included and dressed like a princess she will feel like she is as much as the part as the bridesmaids!
good luck!!
make her a bridesmaid aswell? no harm tbh…Answer by patron on ice II
she doesnt need a title. get her a dress in the same color and similiar style to that of the bridesmaids and have her walk down the aisle with the bridesmaids etc.Answer by Diddy Dum
They could be jr. bridesmaids… I was one when I was twelve. Or they could be in charge of something… like the guest list, the gifts, etc.Answer by Duckie
She can be anything you want her to be!! I’ve seen flower girls much older than that, & i don’t see why she couldn’t be a bridesmaid, if you don’t mind. Make her the ring bearer. Already have one?–Then have 2–one to carry the groom’s ring & one to carry the bride’s ring. Or make them both flower girls. I had 2 flower girls. Or let her be a groom’s lady, lol.
Ever watch Jon & Kate Plus 8? When they renewed their vows they just wanted their little kids to stand up there next to them.
She can be whatever you want her to be–you can even make up a position…like she could be the bride’s bouquet holder during the ceremony…she could go up with the ring bearer, & when you get up there, hand the bouquet to her instead of the maid of honor, lol i dunno..
It’s you & your fiance’s day–you guys can be as creative or traditional as you please!!

Will there be a younger flower girl or young ring bearer? She could be a junior bridesmaid with the job of walking a younger member of the wedding party…like if you had 2 smaller children she could walk between them, escorting them down the aisle to make sure they carrying out their responsibilities.Answer by Lydia
The 10 year old is a great age for a flower girl.
