What shoes are good for babies with fat feet?

Bds Vrew: What shoes are good for babies with fat feet?
Not just wide feet, my son has fat feet, he is 5 1/2 months old, he is big and tall for his age. 28 inches and 22lbs. He can barely fit in his infant carrier anymore.
His feet are fat at the top and almost every shoe we have tried won’t go on.
I know he doesn’t have to wear shoes yet, but just wondering.

Honestly, if nothing fits don’t bother. Shoes are completely un-necessary and can do harm to your sons feet in the future. Babies bones are very soft and the bones in the feet are not fused yet. If you were to put on shoes that are too tight (or even tight socks for that matter), you can cause the bones to begin to fuse in the wrong place.

Instead of shoes how about the socks that have a shoe pattern on them? something like these

Pedipeds, Riley Roos, Crocs…Babies R Us has a cheaper version that are similar to all 3. I can never find shoes for my son locally. Most of the time I order online and those 3 brands were always guaranteed to fit!
