Hmmm: What other holidays will you wish people a happy holiday other than Christmas next year?
I think that we should wish people “Happy Holiday” on Martin Luther King day to avoid offending the KKK, wish people a “Happy Holiday” on Memorial day and Veteran’s day to avoid offending peace protesters, wish people a “Happy Holiday” on Columbus day to avoid offending Native Americans, wish people a “Happy Holiday” on Independence day to avoid offending British people and Canadians, and last of all, wish people a “Happy Holiday” on Thanksgiving to avoid offending Congress who are a bunch of turkeys. What about you? What holiday will you instead choose to wish people a “Happy Holiday” instead of the name and why?
Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years happen over a smaller period of time than MLK day, Valentine’s day and President’s day. So why don’t you say “Happy Holidays” then?

Usually just the winter ones, when a bunch of holidays occur at the same time. It’s much easier to wish people “Happy Holidays” than say “Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year” all the time.
As a person strong in his faith to Jesus Christ, I don’t need other people to constantly remind me which holidays I’m celebrating this season.
Edit: I don’t wish anyone a Happy MLK Day, Happy Saint Valentine’s Day, or Happy President’s Day either. If you are so insistent that people remember the reason for the season, why do you drop the “Saint” from Saint Valentine’s Day?
