Kitty: What may be causing this pain during intercourse?
I have both superficial and deep pain during intercourse. Mainly upon entry. It feels as if it is stretching or burning. I have been sexually active for four years. It’s not because of STDs, inadequate lubrication, position, or not enough foreplay. Pain seems to have always been there, for as long as I can remember anyways.
I am not sure if it is important to note that I get very painful periods but am on birth control and that seems to helps. I used to vomit from the extreme pain, and would have to leave school.

You poor thing. What an absolute nightmare. There’s a couple of things that I’ve been tested for (with the same symptoms) – one is polycystic ovarian syndrome – PCOS (which I have) and the other is endometriosis (which a close friend has). You may also want to have a look at the symptoms for fibroids.
You really need to get this checked out – first off by your GP, who should refer you to a gynaecologist. They will probably do a smear test and possibly an ultrasound to have a look and see what’s going on. It’s really important that you get this looked at as either of the above conditions, or anything else, may potentially affect your fertility in the future. Good luck.

PS – I’m not a Dr!! But I am a girl, and I know what this is like, so I really really empathise.
