yan: What math should I take for calculus and physics?
I have to take math 119 called a survey of calculus and I also need to take physics. Should I take college algebra and trig or go straight to precalculus? I want a math class that will benefit my physics class and give me a strong foundation for calculus as well. Any suggestions?

Algebra + Trig = Precalculus. Any combination will do. However, your workload will be much less if you take one class rather than 2.
You also probably want some calculus before you take physics.
