markazz218: What kind of gifts should we take to kids in the hospital?
So I was thinking today, the holidays are coming up and we all get to opens gifts and spend time with family at home. But what about children in the hospital? I want to start taking up collections of new or slightly used toys to take to children in hospitals on Christmas Day. But I do not know what kind of toys/gifts I should be asking for. I understand that in the children’s hospital there will be different ages and boys and girls, but what type of gifts should we be asking for as donations? Any suggestions?

Books for all ages, crayons, coloring books, hand held games, stuffed animals-either should be new or professionally cleaned. Small fleece blankets. I think that it is wonderful that you want to do this.
First of all, great thing to do, giving to the children in hospital, so be proud of yourself. (: Ok, so, when they’re in hospital they’ll no doubt be bored or disheartened, so you need things to occupy their minds such as books, board games, jigsaw puzzles, CDs for them all to play out loud, stationery, and stuff like dolls, cars, etc can’t go wrong.
Good luck.

Answer by Amanda Mfor the pediatric unit, keep in mind they have kids anywhere from newborn to 17 years old, so i would ask for that. coloring books and crayons, barbies, trucks, sports items, handheld video games, hair accessories, etc. make sure you mention that it is for kids up to 17 years of age, and most people will do the rest.Answer by danish
