Solstice: What kind of college path should I take to reach my dream music career?
My dream music career would be to perform in a professional orchestra on horn and/or give lessons at a nearby college. If that path seems too ambitious it would be wonderful being a band teacher and a private lesson teacher. Whenever I look at a college curriculum it gives a number of options and I don’t know which would best help realize my goal. What do you suggest?
On a side note what are some colleges with music programs that would help a horn player like me?

Not ambitious enough… This is your life goal??? I’m sure you can go for something more extreme.
Some people in highschool told me I had the potential to attend Berklee’s school of music and become a composer/producer, make music or teach…
I didn’t want to because I know musicians have a hard time making money…even after attending Berklee, it’s too risky so i am pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree.
You should aim higher, play more instruments. Don’t just stick with one.
