What kind of career is involved with a investigation laboratories?

I have recently discovered a investigation bureau in Edmond, Oklahoma and it seems fascinating to me to work at. I have always wanted to be an investigator or even a nurse and the only medium that i have found is a forensic scientist or something like it. I have decided i also want to go to the university of Oklahoma and maybe major in chemistry, but theirs one problem, I don’t know what kind of career that is right for me.
what kind of careers are involved with a investigation bureau??
