amrefr: What kind of a sports bike would be good for a petite girl to learn on?
I am about to get my learners permit for a motorcycle. My dream bike is a Honda CBR (the biggest one my 5’2″ frame can handle), but I want to buy a bike to learn on first. Can an experienced rider offer any suggestions? Any thing else a petite girl should consider before learning to ride?

Buell Blast is a great bike. It is small enough for first timer yet powerful enough for experienced rider.
They even come with 2 seat height option from the factory.

Unlike most beginner bike, it is a 500 cc so there’s plenty of power for hwy riding.
Good Luck…
Answer by dreynolds699the best sport bike to start on is the Kawasaki Ninja 250cc find a used oneAnswer by [email protected]
Here they come Ninja 250 or GSXR something. Get what you like, it should not be to heavy easy to ride do not worry about power at this stage, they do not even come close to using their power. I would say look at a Hyosung 250gt, neat little bike lots of fun and fast and you do not have to spend a fortune to get one. and if you drop it you do not have to spend another fortune fixing it.Answer by txhypnotist
Ninja 250 sport is the best by far. Only weighs 324 lbs.
It’s fast and light and leans very well. Fast enough to ride anywhere. I know people who have riden them on 700 mile trips and were happy with them.Answer by .
Qlink SF200 (dual purpose).
Qlink Sapero 250 (sporty with auto trans).

just for the record: Compare to cbr 600 , Yamaha R6 and suzuki Gsxr, the R6 has the smallest frame and not to mention the lightest. Should be alot easier to handle, push or pick up.
Always wear proper gear..leather or paded motorcycle jackets. You wil llook good in it and your skin will be protected.
Ninja sportbike 250 is your ideal bike. Buy a used decent 250 and enjoy the basics of riding of knowing its features, throttle control , brake feel, reflexes. you will learn a lot faster with it then if you would with a bigger bike. Only you will know later when u need to upgrade to 600 class. good luck with your riding adventure
Answer by Hoss_CartwheelKawasaki Ninja 250. The CBR 600/1000 are way too powerful to learn on. Like learning how to drive in an Indy 500 car. : ) Good luck.
