The Beto Ortis’ program showed the violence of poor children and teenagers in Ayacucho, which is the poorest city in Perú. They smoke drug and kill people. Girls are prostitutes.

Sadly, this is a problem in poor urban areas around the world.

This happens in parts of south east Asia (Thailand, Philippines) and the Americas (USA, Mexico, Columbia, Brazil, Peru)…just to name a few.

My opinion is that it is a very sad situation that reflects the widening gap between the haves and the have nots. Desperate people do desperate things.

I think that is a real problem in our society, in our America Latina, because it can be occurring in Arequipa, Tacna, or Lima, too. It remind us that in our country Sendero Luminoso was a terrorist group that killed many people last 20 years, and this group started in this city, Ayacucho. There is a problem what haven’t resolved, these are signs of a great problem, and the government and authorities must do something to resolve.

A possible way is that the government assigns more percent of state budget to education, to socials programs for help the poorest people. But this signifies the economic politics must guide to the common interests, in other words, the government’s politics must care the interests of poor people.

It’s really sad. Children should be with their parents all the time. It’s the same for teenagers but not at all. Poorly is one big problem in cities like Perú, Colombia, Venezuela….. in fact, in Latinoamérica. It’s a terrible problem that is hard to solve. If poorly continues in those cities, the problem will continue for years.

In my opinion, this situation is consequence of the mistreatment generated from parents to their children. A kid who lives in these kind of family environment sometimes grows insecure and full of resentments. After that, the person get involved in gangs because in it they find security in an unreal style of life.

In my opinion, the violence is a “social illness”, is the most important illness in our society. This is produced essentially by the problems into families.. a maltreated child will be possibly a adult who maltreat another person. Then the family is a little experiment of the future society… what do you think?

By these reasons, I think the education of the children and teenagers is very important, but really the authorities don´t take its real value. When will it change?
