Perseverance without passion. Clients can sense the tension in your voice and body language. If you are more interested in selling than they are in buying, it won’t happen today; so try to recognize the signs.
Before the conversation begins to slow down, Remind the prospect of your web site and ask when he would like you to call back, one week. two weeks, a month? I plan my follow up to hit the contact’s voice mail instead of putting them on the spot; and then open the time between subsequent calls.
I have a schedule running from one month through eighteen months. The increasing interval and quick voice mail reduce the cost to sales ratio while keeping in touch with marginal prospects.
Don’t be afraid to ask for referrals. Your current clients are just as affected by these difficult times and could be very helpful. Good Luck.

Leverage your time and your efforts……
J. P.Getty (Getty Oil) once said ” I’d rather earn 1 percent on the efforts of everyone else than 100 percent on my own efforts”.
Be energetic, always growing, be positive , hold the accountable for trying and track results. Find the Leader and find out what works best, move Low performers to Middle performers, Encourage Top Performers to Soar

Answer by AmandaI recently attended 2 sales training courses run by a company called MLP Training and I would strongly recommend them.
I have recenlty begun to get into a more sales based role within our company and feel out of my depth a little.
So I asked my boss about these courses, me and a collegue went and it was really beneficial. They 2 courses were on Goal Setting and Time Management & Problem Solving and Business Development.
I would throughly recommend looking into these – as my key tip since going on these courses is to set your goals for the day and stick to them!

Trust. Trust is the one universal essence or “secret” to any successful sales career. You can be a master at closing. You can have expert knowledge of your product or service. You can even be great at asking questions about their needs and wants…But if you don’t have their trust, they won’t buy from you. Period.
Trust is established at the beginning of the sales cycle by building rapport. Believe me, if you can’t maintain your customer’s trust by having THEIR best interest in mind, it will show and you will lose all credibility with your prospect. And you’ll be left wondering why they never buy from you after you use what you thought was your best close. Once trust is established, it must be maintained and nurtured throughout the entire sales process. From beginning to end.
