i love movies that mentally scare you, where the fear of what is portrayed can really happen….nothing out today is really scary its just humurous attempts…one of my favs is The Omen…u can’t get any better than that horror.Answer by theONEandONLY
Ok the movies the other guy just listed: Shutter, one missed call, those are dreadful and SO not scary.
I just answered this in someone else’s question so I’m going to copy it into this.
High tension. It is a totally disturbing movie. I watch tons of scary movies I thought I’d never see anything new and this, wow, it was intense, seriously. I was so stressed and in suspense during the movie I had to leave the theatre for a minute I was on the edge of my seat literally. And a lot of people say this about movies and then when I watch them I’m like wow that was ok nothing groundbreaking, well, this movie is groundbreaking seriously. It is totally bloody and lots of gore. About a girl going to stay at her best friends family’s farms house and a killer comes in and guts the whole family and as the girl lays hiding he kidnaps her best friend and she goes after him to get her friend back. It was totally disturbing.
Most scary movies don’t scare me either,I’ve seen em all but this one did. it was totally different seriously. There’s barely even any dialogue because it’s all about the visuals and her on a mission to save her best friend. The killing scenes are long, elaborate, but totally realistic. I recommend this movie to anyone and everyone because I want people to be just as disturbed as I was by it.

I found war of the worlds to be really scarey and i don’t know why!!!!Answer by Blue Daisy
i kind of feel the same way…gore really doesn’t do it for me because i know freddy & jason are fictional…what really scares me are films about true events like serial killers…that it can really happen or did happen…something about the human mind crossing the line & never being able to come back to a normal state..movies like wolf creek a story about a australian serial killer…or the zodiac, or silence of the lambs (not true but it had the possibility of it)…the summer of sam or american psycho…Answer by backawayfrommycake

a good movie that kinda scared me was the unborn. it had it’s Omg jumpy moments. there’s a few really good suspensefull movies try, “high tension”, “eden lake”, “funny games”, and you could try the horrorfest movies, they’re fairly creepy. there’s this one japanese movie that me and my mom watched called “audition”, it’s so like gorey and amazing. i recommend any japanese movies, they’re pretty demented and scary if you don’t mind the sub titles.
