The thymus is a part of the lymphatic system, and it is where immature white blood cells mature and start producing antibodies. White blood cells and dead cells displaying antigens find their way to the thymus through the lymph system to make these cells mature to fight off that particular pathogen.
I take it this is a homework question for you. You should open that book, seek the answer and understand for yourself that the lymphatic system is to the immune system as the blood vessels are to the circulatory system.
The lymphatics are one anatomic component and mode of transportation for the immune system, the circulatory system being the other.
