2 different aspects of mathematics.
Im assuming pre-calc prepares you for proper calculus by introducing you to general methods of integration and differentiation, various rules that make your life easier, etc.
Algebra is the basis of mathematics really. You deal with the different sets such as real numbers, complex numbers, matrices, etc. and probably will cover group theory, rings, many proofs of these.
I find calc a lot easier than algebra as calc is methods and algebra is a lot of thinking and proofs.
Answer by a cthis is syllbus that i just pulle d off the internet after a google search.
i’ve been a head of math and this pretty much gets into more depth of material ond complexity.
there is some overlap between algebra and precalc.
it i s a the entry into cacluclu so lays down some fundamental skills like domain and range, end points trig identities etc.Answer by penguins_rule08540
in precalc. you do lots of trigonometry, analytical geometry, matrices, probability, vectors, Elementary functions( polynomial functions, rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions)
It is harder than algebra I and algebra II, but easier than linear algebra. Precalculus uses many techniques in algebra, so make sure you have a good foundation in algebra!
Answer by Shneeflock VThe first half of my pre-cal class was literally a review of concepts covered in algebra 2. The second half we focused more on trigonometry, trigonometric identities, vectors, and other concepts. I have heard that a minimal amount of what you learn in pre-cal is actually used in cal, so I found it a considerably easy review-type class.
