sguerra2005: What is the difference between english and literature essays?
I need to write a few essays for both my english 2 and early american literature class. A lot of the stories we are reading are the same. I need to know what the difference in the essay should be. For example, is one supposed to be about how the story is composed and the other a summary of the story? Please Help!

An essay in english2 could be about pretty much anything. An essay in american lit would have to be relevant to American Literature.
summary is just summing up the article in your words…im not sure if u can add ur opinions in, ask ur teacher. not sure about the composing part. sorry!
