jo: What is the best way to tender resignation at the end of a maternity leave?
I’m planning not to return to work after a 6week maternity leave. Will I owe the company back the maternity benefits, such as salary paid during leave, insurance, etc?

Yes, if you don’t return for a certain amount of time you will owe pay and benefit money back.

No you shouldnt, it is just like quitting, just dont tell them until after your maternity or nearing the end of it.

Type up a letter of resignation and send it to your boss.

I can’t imagine you would owe money back? If you are getting paid by taking off vacation or sick leave then I would say no, but if they are just paying you salary out of the kindness of their hearts, then they would, at the least, be upset I’m sure.

As long as you are using your time (sick, vacation) you are considered still employed and shouldn’t be liable for anything. But I would talk to someone who really knows.

no you shouldnt owe them anything because you were intitled to this, inquire more about this, like citizens advice and they will tell you a lot more about this, you will havr to be careful! good luck

Maternity leave at my job is a non-paid leave so I don’t know about the pay – the insurance – probably not. If your job gave out a handbook when you were first hired – I would find it and look it up – the answer is probably in there.

No you will not owe them any money, maternity leave comes with your benenfits and it is entitled to you whether you want to return to work or not….Once you rmaternity leave is up call the company and let them know you won’t be coming back.
