What is the best program for a starter to use to introduce 3d game programming for the computer?

I have some background in programming but i have not been able to find a good program to use when trying to make computer games. I would preferably like a program that i could easily download tutorials for it incase i need future help. Thanx!

Try DarkBasic PRO (DBPro) – They offer a free license with full functionality, and their website is full of tutorials. Their forum community is also pretty active and knowledgeable.

The same company offers 3D gamemaker but I haven’t tried it. This one is not free.

When you go with Java, you can have most of it for free. Including game engines. Use Google and search for “tutorials for 3D game programming in java”
