: What is the best comprehensive book/book series for learning Latin (possibly even conversational latin)?
I personally would like to learn Latin as my fifth language (English, Russian [native], Esperanto, Spanish). I would certainly like to see whether or not Latin will help with my Esperanto (my favorite language and believe me, I have looked at many, of all types) and my goal to learn it to literate-native fluency. Along with my spanish and languages like French and maybe romanian (all just for their usefulness) and german.
Oh and also, I’d consider learning Greek (maybe), Arabic, Sanskrit (maybe, its pretty but also quite complex), and Mandarin Chinese. Japanese also a big maybe.
