Jack: What is the best Airline for first class that is a United States Airline for a good price?
Whati is the best Airline for first class that is in the United States for a good price?
When I think of first class, I think of big seats, good food and snacks, service, and a good fare for it.
Right now, I’m trying to find the cheapest Airfare from ether MSP or DSM to WAS (All DC Area Airports). I don’t like Northwest.
So, what is the best Airline for first class that is a United States Airline for a good price?

Southwest.
United Airlines has the best first class–hands down. I travel out of Dulles instead of National, however.

Ahhhhh….Mike….you are so correct. Champagne, decent meals, (that wonderful ice cream sundae cart) and the ability to recline back and REALLY sleep are priceless.
You are also correct about the domestic flights which ARE usually really an upgraded “business” class…but still the best domestically that I’ve used.
😀
United Airlines is good, but remember for most domestic flights united doesn’t have first class because the planes being used are only two class airplanes (coach, and business class)… If you really want to have first class, then United’s 747 is good. It is a three class airplane (coach, business class, first class), but it can be expensive (around $ 15,000 to europe). They serve fancy meals with REAL utensils, and you have a seat that can recline all the way flat so you can sleep very comfortably.Answer by marycucha

continental is MY favorite for first class, prices tend to be a little expensive but its worth it compared to the restAnswer by ironchain15
Take Midwest Connect from DSM to MKE, then switch to Midwest Airlines to DCA. The DCA flight will be the Signature Service on the Boeing 717. The 717 is set up like an all business class arrangement right now. The seats are huge with extendable headrests and footrests. The buy on board food is the best food on a plane right now. If I were to choose a second airline, I would go with Continental. True, CO’s first class is more expensive, but the service is great.
