Christine: What is easier biology or anatomy and physiology?
I am debating on whether to take anatomy and physiology or biology. I don’t really like bio, i think it is kind of boring, but i heard anatomy and physiology is hard.

It’s better to take a challenging course you love than a boring course that’s easy. If you love A&P, you will have a great time no matter how challenging it is. Wouldn’t you love to know everything about the human body? If you do, then you won’t stop at anything to get all the information about it! That way, you’ll be learning for the sake of learning, which always leads to a great grade!
The only thing is, don’t you have to take biology to get into A&P? You can’t fully appreciate the body without learning the basics! Also, don’t perceive biology as a course trying to teach you genetics……animals you could care less about…..glucose……BORING…..
You should perceive biology as a course that teaches you how molecules work together to create life as we know it! This enhances A&P immensely.
Good luck!
Having taught both subjects, I don’t think one is harder than the other It depends on the level at which each is taught (college-level Biology is a lot harder than middle-school A&P). What IS important is what you’re interested in, since they are not the same thing. You’re fortunate that you have the opportunity to take A&P without having taken Biology; until recently, I’ve always seen Biology as a prerequisite.
If you want to go into nursing, skip the Biology. I teach basic A&P to nurses, and some have never had Biology (they are the ones who perform the worst).
Answer by faxIt really depends on how you apply yourself to the classes. If you don’t like bio and think it’s boring, then you’ll probably go into the class distanced already… this would lead to it being difficult because you’re simply not interested. Does that make sense?
All of the subjects can be equally hard or easy, it all depends on your approach.
Personally, I loved anatomy and physiology. If you’re doing nursing, microbio would be another class you need to take. I enjoyed micro just as much.
My suggestion would be to take the class you are most interested in right now to get yourself going. Once you enjoy the subject, all the other classes will be something you look forward to.
Answer by FullmetalpigletThe difficulty of the class really depends on whether you love learning the material or not. If you love learning complicated material then it won’t seem as hard. Personally I feel that Biology is simpler and contains more general information that you need for Anatomy and Physiology. It contains more material to memorize. Anatomy and Physiology on the other hand is much more complicated, especially when you start learning about the eleven different systems of the body. As a student myself I like Anatomy and Physiology better, but that’s just me.
A&P has a lot of information from Biology. I would recommend taking Biology first even though it is boring. I had two girls in my class who took A&P first and they had trouble grasping cellular metabolism and how ATP is generated. If you are the kind of person who can read up on this stuff and learn really quickly then sure, you should take A&P and skip Biology. However, if you need to learn in a classroom setting and have difficulty learning by yourself, then you should take Biology first. I hope this helped 🙂
