lovelybellexa: What is a great inspirational book for young women to read?
My best friend and I both in our early 20’s (21 & 22 yrs old) are looking for a book to both read and then discuss. We would like a book for women and that is also inspirational. Basically a book that has an impact that you actually get something out of reading it.
Your help is appreciated.

‘Before i die’ by – By Jenny Downham
Amazing Book!!
I really,really enjoyed this book.
Before my mum bought it for me she warned me it wouldnt really be the best book to get. I totally disagree, Im 15 now and although I was 13 at the time I really enjoyed it. Tessa is 15 and knows she’s going to die, she has a list of things to do before she dies including sex. I currently have 2 freinds reading the book – who both throughly enjoy it. I
I cried loads! But actually connected with Tessa, you actually become rather close!! It’s a very passionate book and currently reamains my favourite I’ve read it 2 times and will never get bored of it. Most nights I pick a chapter to read to myself as I have familirised with the story and never get tired of hearing the tragic tale of Tessa and her family as they support her with the cancer she has been diaognosed with.
A heart warming story which really reminded me of how lucky I am! This would be a great book to discuss with your friend 🙂 i really liked it and still can’t believe how much i cried in the last few pages!!

The biography of Jenny Churchill, she was Winston Churchill’s mum.
The autobiography of Sandra Day O’Conner. It is amazing that she did not become a pregnant, married, ranch worker by 16.

A History of Women in the United States – boy, will this book tick you off and inspire you as you see the medical treatements imposed on women and the fact that until the 1950s we were considered property.Answer by SamHil
Read about Julia Child’s life. She was the original Mata Hari super spy. She and her husband are reputed to be some of the original founders of what is now the CIA from their work as spies in WWII. She brought about the food movement that you see in the world right now and she was always humble and a hoot!Answer by wilbum08
