Alex F: What happens to shareholders when a company de-lists itself from the NYSE?
“AIB announced plans to de-list its shares from the New York Stock Exchange”
if I were invested in AIB, what are the possible outcomes of what would happen to my shares?

They lose all their money.
Means your shares are worth less then 1 dollar. Otherwise nothing changesAnswer by jeff410
They will trade in the Pink Sheets or the Over The Counter Bulletin Board. You still have them but the price is likely to drop and liquidity will drop. The bid ask spreads will likely increase and they may be hard to trade. The reason they are delisting is most likely because they dont meet listing requirements for the NYSE. There are no listing requirements for the Pink Sheets and can make them enormously risky.
