What guitar has good clean tone and can also play with a good amount of gain?

Joseph: What guitar has good clean tone and can also play with a good amount of gain?
I was looking for a new guitar and i really play a good variety of music so i don’t want a guitar that is only good for somethings. Also I was looking at the BC Rich classic deluxe eagle and i was wondering if that was a good guitar?
I also was looking at the Schecter Solo 6 Classic and i was wondering if that was good
or the schecter hellraiser solo-6

BC Rich’s guitars look cool, but they don’t have the clean tone you’re looking for. For absolutely epic clean tone, get a PRS or a Fender if you like a thinner sound. They both handle distortion well, but don’t get a Fender if you like metal. Schecters are very versatile guitars that meet your criteria. Get a Gibson if you can afford it- they tend to be overpriced.

I was looking at the Eagle at one point also. A very beautiful guitar. I have a Schecter C-1 Classic and I love that guitar, but for my money there is no guitar more versatile than a Fat Strat (HSS Strat). You have a humbucker in the bridge for getting nasty and then the two single coils for nice cleans. You definitely won’t get a clean sound out of a Schecter with EMG’s. Even my Schecter with passive humbuckers doesn’t get real clean. The Seymour Duncan Jazz pup in the Schecter gets fairly clean but nothing close to a single coil. I am actually a big fan of the P90 also. It is a nice compromise between a humbucker and a traditional single coil. You can get the growl without the mud. I have the Gibson Les Paul Jr. which is actually a good deal at around $ 850 and Gibson also has an SG for $ 999 that comes with 2 P-90’s.

If you want a thick, full sound, get a guitar with humbuckers and a rosewood fretboard. If you want something with a bitier sound, get single-coil pickups and a maple or ebony fretboard. Of course it gets more complex than that, but it’s a good place to start.

There are plenty of good guitars with a clean and smooth sound. It depends what type of music are you playing. In my opinion, Gibson Les Paul is the best guitar with a beautiful clean sound. If you want to have guitar that is perfect for your taste, then you should give somebody to make the guitar for you.
