mozb7: What good flight stops are there on the way to Australia?
I inquired online about a flight to perth and found a stop in singapore which is attractive. Are there are destinations that are cheap to also stop at and enjoyable for a few days perhaps when booking a multi stop flight? For example I added bejing before singapore and noticed my flight cost when up from 500 to 1100 pounds, so not there!

I guess you’re flying from London? A good stopover is Dubai.
There is a lot more to Dubai than hotels and shopping it’s just that most people don’t realise it because they head to the beach hotels and don’t see the real Dubai (or what’s left of it).
This is a good web site: .
And I can recommend three hotels that are very close to the Bastakiah heritage area – Raffles (my brother will get you cheap rooms); The Arabian Courtyard; the Orient Guest house.
This is a link to three walking tours of the area around these hotels

A two/three night stay here would really help with the jet lag and give you an opportunity to see old Dubai – you can also shop in the souks across the creek or the large shopping malls that are a few minutes away, eg Bur Juman.
Last point. Taxis are top quality like in France, but rates reasonable like in Casablanca. So ask one to take you around the town and you’ll see all the buildings and the port etc for a few dirhams.
Oh yes – watch out for the brand new 4 x 4’s dumped at the airport as the get-rich-quick brigade are leaving in droves and hoping Interpol won’t catch up with them and their debts 🙂
Answer by DivDefinitely , Bangkok..you get Visa on arrival and its too good for shoppingAnswer by aflumpire23
Singapore (Singapore Airlines and Qantas), Kualua Lumpur (Malaysia Airlines), Bangkok (Thai Airways), Dubai (Emirates) and Hong Kong (Cathay Pacific)
The reason why Beijing was so expensive is because you can not go Beijing-Perth in one stop.
Going through one of the above cities can be done in one stop – and will be cheapest.
