For a small farmers market, you need crops that can be harvested often. The easiest is herbs, cut fresh every week or dried. Besides all of the tomatoes, potatoes, broccoli cabbage during the summer Pumpkins in the fall. Honey is another item that stores well and sells good.Answer by Amanda J
Try lettuce. Some varieties will come in only a month. If you could supply some of the more exotic or unusual lettuces they should fetch a pretty good price. To top that off they hardley require much space, per head and is a good choice if you have limited rich soil -monetary yeild is good per area cultivated. Lettuce also requires little care beyond diligent watering. You can also give consideration to introducing pak-choi, a popular high yeilding Aisian green. It hails from the chinease cabbage family.
I have recently put down some extra lettuce to sell my self!
