Very few female celebrities, particularly celebrities who are constantly in the limelight, are what I would consider to be a “good influence” or role model for teenagers. Pop singers in particular are excessively materialistic corporate lackeys, and any “charitable work” they do is nothing more than a publicity stunt. Bjork is one exception I can think of. She is a strong humanitarian and human-rights advocate and has has been so of her own accord since long before she was a celebrity.

Anne Hathaway is sick of the Hollywoods weight losing affirmations. “I like to be strong, not thin. Directors say that Anne, you’re the best choice for this role, but have gain weigth lately. If people don’t understand that I can gain a couple of kilograms, I don’t want to work with them.”

Hathaway likes to be an role model for young people. Anne abuses Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears for not wearing underpants. Anne thinks that without panties partying Spears and Lohan are not good role models.

Sandra Bullock – She’s currently trying to get her stepchild away from an abusive and unstable mother. She picks movie roles that are usually send a good message.

Sohpia Bush – She doesn’t take diet pills or fall for the fad diets like many celebrities. She admits that she does feel the pressure of Hollywood but she is fine with the fact that she will probably never be a size 0. She also cares about the environment and right now she is helping with the gulf oil spill with her boyfriend Austin Nichols.

Johnny Depp – He is so down to earth, despite being one of the most famous people of our time. He keeps his family and personal life private, as to not affect his son, without being rude or snobby about it.

Emma Watson – she is going to college (education is important to her), she stays out of the tabloids & doesnt go to inapropriate places & do inapropriate things, she is happy & healthy with herself & her life, she is beautiful & amazingly talented but doesnt brag about herself & is very humble when ppl compliment her and shes actually nice to her fans

There aren’t a lot but I would look into the ones that aren’t super-thin and actually care about the job they have and the characters they play instead of being in it for the money and fame. And the ones that do charity work and actually seem to care about the charity it’s for. Also dressing in somewhat normal clothes is a plus.
