It’s when you put the baster in the turkey, you know. The dinger in the noo-noo. The enchilada in the cha cha.
I suppose the idea is that it’s special, loving, gentle sex. Kinda boring.

To me, Making love is much much more than just sex. It’s bonding with your spouse or significant other, the most intimate feeling in the world. It should be an expression of love more than just a “im horny, lets do it” kind of thing.Answer by chieko

people diss the term and it’s fallen out of fashion…but it is what God intended our bodies to do…

Answer by SerenityThe beautiful and loving way of showing someone you love them through a physical act. It’s much more than sex. It’s a bonding.Answer by RA
Word and phrase definitions tend to change over time. Today making love is pretty much a euphemism for coitus and those sensual acts leading up to and following coitus. This was not so a hundred years ago when it could have just as easily have meant courting, kissing and snuggling. There was an old song (my mother-in-law had sheet music for it) with the words “Take your girlie to the movies if you can’t make love at home.” I don’t know if a Google search would verify this, but I seem to remember this being copyrighted prior to 1920 and was considered suitable for singing in family parlors!
Hope this helps! Good question!

I’ve gotta agree with Katie on this one, the notion of making love rather than just having sex is usually considered to be more of a way to bond with the person that you love, during intimacy. I think it’s also a way of being more open to the person your with in what you like and learning what they like, without being overly sexed in the process if you know what I mean. I think it’s more about taking it slow and actually learning about the person, in a sexual manner.Answer by eric k
It can be used as a genteel euphemism for sex, but it can also be used to define a certain type of intercourse.
Call it, “Sex Plus”, one that isn’t as orgasmic-centric as just plain ****ing.
