Doctorv21: What does dancing for the devil really mean?
I heard it is better to dance for God than to dance for the devil. What kind of dancing is this phrase talking about? Is it talking about dancing to any music besides gospel music?

I always heard it as *dancing with the devil*….. meaning knowingly doing something that goes against God.. and feeling gleeful about it, kinda a dare devil thing…… go in peace…. God bless
Could be. Also it could be symbolic for associating with the devil or carrying out his deeds, but there could be other meanings as well.Answer by sisjadie
I was raised taught dancing is a sin. Through prayer and searching I have come to the conclusion that when you are dancing to entice sin (exotic dancing/ dirty dancing) that is dancing for the devil… because your expression can aid in the promotion of sin… whereas if you are dancing with someone at a dance in a modest fashion, and mean no harm or enticement that is sinful, I see that as art, an expression of yourself as God created you. Music the same way… when it has lyrics that entice and promote sin it is music for the devil’s purpose… if it means no harm, it is art as God given talent of the artist.Answer by Clint
i think it means you are engaged in ANY activity or event that you or the accuser believes is relating 2 sin .
