I’m writing a story about an actress who is a celebrity and I have to know what she’s supposed to do during the day. Obviously she goes to work on set of her movie and stuff but what do celebrities do for press? What kind of things do they have to go to?

easy. attend parties, get drunk for pics, get controversial with paparazzis, do interviews randomly if they are caught shopping, basically they will do anything to get attention from the public cameras, they need that to keep realizing what wonderful ppl they think they are

She will take classes in the various aspects of acting and in her other skills like dancing, singing, speech, accents, comedy. If she has a part that calls for a new skill like martial arts, archery, boxing, horseback riding, playing a musical instrument, knitting, whatever, she’ll learn that from an expert. She’ll go to the gym or work with a trainer to stay in shape. She’ll meet with her agent and manager, go on auditions, meet with studio or network people, go to photo shoots for headshots or publicity, have costume fittings, create her part and learn her lines. As you said, she’ll rehearse and film the movie. If she has a spouse (an actor or other?), children in school, and a house, she’ll look after them. She might also have a hobby like painting or a business like design. She might be involved with a charity. She might have other relatives, friends, assistants, fans, and paparazzi in her life.
