Alanna W: What are the questions like on exams and tests given in university?
Do the questions on tests and exams apply to what one has memorized (in other words, do they have an application), or do the questions exactly ask you from what one has memorized?

Most of the questions I have been asked have been questions in which I had to apply what I know in order to figure out the answer. I have had a few where it was just memorization though.
I think it really depends on the class. Most of my classes are math and science and most of them have you working out a problem or applying your knowledge of a certain subject. It also depends on which level of class you are in. If it is a lower level class than you might be more likely to have a memorization question. This was the case with my lower-level biology class.
Many tests might have a little bit of each though. It really depends on the class and teacher.
