destiny: What are the laws about mixing a speech with a copyrighted song?
I’d like to mix the audio from a political speech with the song “Revolution” by the Beatles. Does anyone know if this violates copyright laws?

You need to get authorization and pay the royalties.
Depends.
If you use a small portion and give credit, it may fall under “fair use.” In particular, a political speech is not commercial use and, as such, allow more leniency.
However, use too much of the song and you could cross the line. And be careful that your political speech doesn’t cross into being commercial.
