XxXChristineGarrettXxX: What are the dating rules and regulations when you join the army?
My boyfriend and I plan on joining the army once we are out of high school. We do not plan to get married until after college, which will be after we serve a few years. What are the rules for dating another soldier?

If you are not married the chances you will be stationed together are slim to none. If you are guard or reserves you still might not drill in the same place depending upon MOS.
Since you both will be lower enlisted it isn’t going to be a problem. One of you can’t be in a leadership position of the other.
Answer by applesauceYou both have to be either enlisted or an officer. You can can’t have a public display of affection while you are in uniform either. ps join the airforceAnswer by AD
As long as you and him are still single and both of you are enlisted (one of you can’t be an officer while the other is enlisted) there’s no problem with it. However, if you and him don’t get married then there’s no guarantee you and him will be together since they could send you and him to entirely different parts of the world. If you and him are married you and him could be enrolled into the Married Army Couples Program and would have a much better chance of being together.Answer by penguin
MACP is no guarantee of being stationed together. though new regulations went into effect making it harder for the service to separate you ultimately you are their to serve the needs of your service. you are both still young and as long as your both enlisted or officers then your fine. you can even be different services but that will make it soooo much harder to be stationed together. just please if you guys join, don’t jump into a marriage just to be stationed together. more often then not they only bring you heart break.Answer by HDH
As long as the soldier is not your boss, you are not his boss, and you are not in the same small unit (usually 8 to 30 people) it’s okay. Also enlisted guys can’t date officers, and it’s against the rules if there’s a big difference in rank (a private can’t date a Sergeant First Class.)
