What are some really good books for a preteen?

Ramneek: What are some really good books for a preteen?
I am a pre teen and would really like to read some books that are for me (not that I don`t read teen books, trust me I do!). I want books that you just can`t put down besides the Candy Apple Books.

The Artemis Fowl books by Eoin Colfer.

The Princess Diaries series by Meg Cabbot is relly good. The series spent 38 weeks on the New York Times Children’s Series Best Sellers List. Also ‘All American girl’ is very funny and hard to put down. It is also by Meg Cabbot.

Girls- books by sarah dessen. all her books are amazing. also the book balled the sisterhood of the traveling pants
Boys- books by S.E. Hinton. her books are mostly gang related type. also a book called gym candy
