mykdsrock: What are some good science projects involving water and energy for a 6th grader?
My son wants to participate in the science fair and there is an extra incentive if your project involves “water and energy”. We’re looking for a list of projects to choose from. He’s very into science so something a little higher then his grade level might be ok.

hows about a salt water battery? (air battery) check out instructions at this website. Its a very easy and straight forward project.
you can buy the parts at any hardware store.

Or you can create a water wheel fairly easy to power a fan. for that I would have to go into greater detail. but water goes over the wheel blades (like a river boat paddle) and turns a simple fan. Seems like something you can create easily.
