: What are some good motels in times square that offer free parking in the room price?
I’ve noticed a lot offer valet parking, do you need to take up the valet parking? Or can you park for yourself for free? If not, what motels offer parking included in the room price that are in times square?

Most NYC hotels do not offer free parking. It’s definitely not included in the room price. If you have the option of leaving the car behind – take it! You don’t need a car in NYC. It’s more of a nuisance than it will ever be a benefit.

There is no such thing as free parking in Times Square. Free parking in Manhattan is EXTREMELY limited and comes with restrictions. People in New York pay to park their own cars at garages near their apartments.

No hotel (there are no motels in Manhattan) owns its own parking. Many have relationships with nearby garages. This isn’t unique to New York as it is the case in most major North American cities.

Motels and free parking are two things that do not exist in NYC especially near time square. Leaving your car at home is the best option and the only free one. mass transit is excellent and will get you anywhere you want to go, not to mention, walking is sometimes faster than driving during peak traffic hour, which is almost always!
