What are some good girl books for a teenager?

K K: What are some good teenage girl books?
So I really like books and I have read a great many of them and I can’t find any good books. I really like the Gallagher Girl series and the books by Ally Carter. I also like the Percy Jackson Series By Rick Riordan. I really want a book that has a unexpected romance or that the kids were friends when they were young and then “fell in love” I have also read the summer boys and endless summer book.

as far as unexpected romance goes, cloaked is really good. it keeps you guessing about who the main character will end up with.

Roswell series. It was a TV show in early 2000’s. Love, danger, mystery, and the Guy everyone wants to end up with… about alien half human teens living here on earth after there planets were destroyed. Forbidden love and lots of conflict to stay together…. it really was a great series and If you can find the shows they were awesome as well… great actors played the roles.

Half truths and White lies
Jane Davis
Its about a girl who’s parents die and she unravels a bunch of secrets that her parents had kept from her her entire life. Its pretty neat to see how it al unravels.

Finding Alice
(I don’t have the book in front of me so I don’t know who wrote it)
A girl in her college years who starts experiencing schizophrenia. She at one point becomes homeless, and you watch her struggle between reality and what’s going on in her mind. Their is a love story in this book as well.

The last one is my all time favorite…

Its a young girls diary, she is 15 and struggling with drug addiction. You follow her diary entries day by day seeing what she is going through. At no point in the book does she tell you she has an addiction, she says she can quit whenever she wants to. You will absolutely love her. You feel like a bystander and just want to help her and save her.

When you say ”teenage” books the first 2 I suggested are probably better for like 17-18+. The last one however I think should be a mandatory book in High schools, I think 14+ should read it.
