Johnathan S: What are some good dividend paying stocks, or good ways to pick them?
I know VZ, JNJ, PG, ABT, DUK are some.
Does anyone recommend any stock screeners and methods, or just good dividend paying stocks?

Look for companies with high dividend yield and strong performance.

If you are seeking just yield look at PFF. (But watch for rising interest rates.)
The other stocks you mention also offer the potential for capital gains. Add T, and MO to the list for large US companies.
MSN money has a free stock screener that lets you select for a wide range of things like this.

You should select ones that have a history of increasing their dividends year after year. There was an answer recently (not on Yahoo answers–somewhere else) that provided a link to a list of the companies that have done so for at least 25 years. That is a long time. Here are some that pay the most from that list.
CTL 8.4% 37 years
T 6.9% 26 years
MO 6.9% 42 years
PBI 6.4% 28 years
TET 6.0% 51 years wow!
LLY 5.9% 42 years
VVC 5.9% 50 years
WRE 5.8% 38 years
CINF 5.8% 49 years
