John B: What are some Bible verses that talk about seeing the good in people, not judging others?
I’m having some trouble looking for some Bible verses that talk about seeing the good and positive and people and not just focusing on their flaws/judging them. I’d appreciate any insights or recommendations. Peace.

Here are some:
(Matthew 7:1-5) 7 “Stop judging that YOU may not be judged; 2 for with what judgment YOU are judging, YOU will be judged; and with the measure that YOU are measuring out, they will measure out to YOU. 3 Why, then, do you look at the straw in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the rafter in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Allow me to extract the straw from your eye’; when, look! a rafter is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First extract the rafter from your own eye, and then you will see clearly how to extract the straw from your brother’s eye.
(Luke 6:37) “Moreover, stop judging, and YOU will by no means be judged; and stop condemning, and YOU will by no means be condemned. Keep on releasing, and YOU will be released.
(Romans 2:1) Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are, if you judge; for in the thing in which you judge another, you condemn yourself, inasmuch as you that judge practice the same things.
(Romans 14:13) Therefore let us not be judging one another any longer, but rather make this YOUR decision, not to put before a brother a stumbling block or a cause for tripping.
(1 Corinthians 4:5) Hence do not judge anything before the due time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring the secret things of darkness to light and make the counsels of the hearts manifest, and then each one will have his praise come to him from God.
Those are jsut some.
Now we want to make sure we do not confuse not judging with not telling others about why certain things are right or wrong according to the Bible. That is not judging. Preaching is not judging. Teaching is not judging. Clarifying is not judging. All those are things followers of Jesus must do.
(Matthew 24:14) And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.
(Matthew 28:19-20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”
(Acts 5:42) 42 And every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.
(Acts 20:20) 20 while I did not hold back from telling YOU any of the things that were profitable nor from teaching YOU publicly and from house to house.
(Acts 20:27) for I have not held back from telling YOU all the counsel of God.
(2 Timothy 4:2) preach the word, be at it urgently in favorable season, in troublesome season, reprove, reprimand, exhort, with all long-suffering and [art of] teaching.
And there are many more scriptures.
What we should all remember is that there must be something present in our conversations that is very important. Respect.
(Colossians 4:6) 6 Let YOUR utterance be always with graciousness, seasoned with salt, so as to know how YOU ought to give an answer to each one.

Answer by belitheryMatt 7:1-5 – “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”
Phil 2:3 – Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.
Answer by KTHello friend-
If you’re looking for verses that say we’re to overlook all sin and just accept all life styles you won’t find those.
It does say to love everyone, even those who persecute you and your enemies.
However, it does say that we’re to judge those who are inside the church. Paul says, what are we to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church we’re to judge? Basically it doesn’t mean we’re to go around pointing at people- saved! unsaved! We’re to hold those inside the church accountable to sin and the commandments given…and those outside the church we’re not to judge because they never claimed to have the same standards as us.
People like to pick on Christians using the “Judge not…” verse out of context. The context was outside the church there. Do not judge outsiders…yet we’re commanded to hold the insiders accountable.
