People have asked me why thongs have an advantage. I know panties used to cause a ridge in women’s skin around their bikini sides. Is that the reason, or is it just for the style?

thongs were created so no one can see ur underwear….like if ur wearing tight pants/shorts or white pants/shorts/skirt

They were made so you don’t have an underwear line when wearing tight pants.
